Detective Inspector Wayne Tunbridge represented the Royal Gibraltar Police at Interpol’s 82nd General Assembly held this year in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, between the 21st and 24th October 2013.
The assembly was well attended by all 190 member countries and as usual a number of important issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The Convent Christmas Fair will take place this year on Thursday 28th November from 12 noon to 7pm. Plans have been forming over the past months and will continue behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s event will be one of the best ever.
The Royal Gibraltar Regiment (RG) are currently strengthening Britain’s longstanding diplomatic relationship with Morocco through Exercise Jebel Sahara, a joint training exercise with the Moroccan Deuxieme Brigade d’Infanterie Parachutiste (2BIP).
Now in its 13th year, the month-long exercise is based a few miles north of Marrakech and involves 161 members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, including 49 augmented from the UK, and 200 soldiers from 2BIP.
