The Reef Rainforest Café - A Unique Venue

ADVERTORIAL
The Reef Rainforest Café recently opened in Fish Market Lane - a unique venue for parties and events or a simple relaxing drink and bite to eat near the heart of town.
Stepping inside is a special experience; walls and ceiling are covered with a thick layer of plastic plants and 14 aquarium tanks containing whopping 8,500 liters of water help showcase stunning fish from the Amazon, including piranhas.
Since last week, Managing Director Jake Julian has been welcoming customers and taking bookings for children’s birthday parties.
Jake said: “I think it’s one of the most unique venues in Gibraltar. Everything was specifically made for the café because of its location and layout. We’re also very proud that all our produce is fresh, home-made and locally sourced - we even marinate our meat here!”
He explains that the business is linked to the popular Reef pet shop next door and that children will be able to enjoy reptile shows during their parties.
He adds: “We want it to be an educational experience for children, but also a fun one.”
Jake’s business journey started four years ago. He nurtured his passion for pet shops and, he says, and “one thing led to another, the business has been good and it’s enabled our growth with this new venture.”
Serving a variety of burgers, rolls, toasties, tea and coffee, the Reef Rainforest Café is open from 9am-5pm (Monday to Saturday) and from 5pm-7pm for parties / events only.
