The Editor Talks Excrement
One of the things that I find disgusting is, having to play a game of dog excrement hopscotch on the way to work every morning. My senses are not as sharp as they used to be and it’s still kind of dark as I hop along through my estate in
“A state of semi sleep, making my route to town a very dangerous and potentially smelly proposition.
Some dog owners in Gibraltar have a lot to answer for. There is a particular gentleman where I live, that every morning just opens his front door and releases his pooch to do its business wherever it takes its fancy.
Many dog owners seem to forget or just don’t care about picking up what their canine’s rear drops. Dog fouling is teaming with E. Coli and other harmful bacteria including faecal coliform bacteria, which causes serious kidney disorders amongst a host of other nasty diseases.
Gibraltar seems to be a Country of dog lovers and I tip my hat to those dog owners that actually do the right thing and pick up the poop. But to those dog owners that don’t I hope that one day you skate in your own mess.
