Oct 26 - Miss Gibraltar Held Family Portrait Fundraiser
Miss Gibraltar Hannah Bado held a family portrait fundraiser over the weekend, successfully raising little less than £2,000 for Cancer Relief.
The event was held at the Youth Centre, with the Gibraltar Youth Production Team taking photos over a period of two days.
Speaking to Your Gibraltar TV, Hannah, who raised £1940 from the event, said: “Throughout my reign I wanted to help out a charity which meant something to me.
"Cancer Relief Gibraltar is a very special charity for me as they helped out my mother a couple of years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer and they had recently been helping out my father-in-law, Jose Luis Montegriffo, who was fighting a long and hard battle with cancer and unfortunately is no longer with us.
“The thought of doing a family portrait fundraiser for this charity seemed extremely fitting as it portrayed the importance of family values; the core reason for choosing to help out Cancer Relief Gibraltar.”
In total, Hannah has raised more than £3,500 for Cancer Relief since she was crowned Miss Gibraltar.
