Feb 18 - Get Involved With Childline’s Blue Week – 22nd -26th February
Childline Gibraltar will be holding their annual “Blue Week” from the 22nd - 26th of February 2016 to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
There will be key activities organised over the week, including an Awareness Day in the Piazza on Wednesday 24th and “Blue Day” on Friday 26th, where Childline will be asking local schoolchildren and companies to wear blue and donate £1 to Childline. In addition, the charity will also hold a “Blue Week Quiz” and a car sticker competition.

Speaking on behalf of the charity, a spokesperson commented: “Blue Week gives the whole community a chance to find out more about our work and show their support to Gibraltar’s children in need. More and more companies and organisations support us each year so please make sure your company is represented and demonstrate your commitment to this important cause.”
During the week, representatives from Childline will be available upon request to come and visit your company or youth/sports group to tell you more about the work Childline does and how you can be involved.
As Childline Gibraltar approaches its 10th Birthday, its services are in greater demand than ever and their services are completely funded through private and corporate donations. Their mission is simple: to end cruelty to children in Gibraltar.
Over the years, Childline have helped many children in Gibraltar dealing with issues such as abuse, bullying, family breakdown, teenage pregnancy and sexuality. Working closely with the Care Agency and the RGP, Childline says it saw a dramatic increase in the amount of people it assisted: a total number of 249 people. The impact the charity is having in the community cannot be underestimated but members stress that they need your support to keep these vital resources going.
