Dear Friend: A Warm Hug for Your Mind & Soul -- Book Release

Christina Marie Giuffré, a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B), is set to release her new book Dear Friend: A Warm Hug for Your Mind & Soul on Amazon, 29th November 2024. This unique self-help book offers readers a personal and uplifting guide to navigating life's ups and downs with compassion, courage, and a sprinkle of humour.
Uniquely written as a comforting letter, Dear Friend speaks directly to anyone who’s ever felt like life is a game of musical chairs—where the music stops, and they’re left standing alone. The book offers readers the seat they’ve been waiting for—a place where they belong exactly as they are.
The book is a beautiful gift to readers and the community, promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Additionally, £2 from each physical copy sold in Gibraltar (not via Amazon) will support Cancer Relief Gibraltar's vital work.

About the Author
Christina Marie Giuffré is a certified coach, speaker, and advocate for DEI&B, with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and organisations thrive. As a queer, neurodiverse woman living with ADHD and past experiences of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, Christina draws on her personal journey to inspire others to embrace resilience and self-compassion. Originally from Australia, Christina now calls Gibraltar home.
Gráinne McKenna, Cancer Relief CEO, said: “It has been wonderful working with Christina, and we are truly grateful for her kindness and generous support for our charity. Her book, ‘Dear Friend,’ is not only offering a heartfelt guide to hope and resilience but also supporting Cancer Relief by donating £2 from each book sold in Gibraltar to our vital work, to support people impacted by cancer. Christina, we wish you every success with the launch of your first book—first of many, I’m sure! May it inspire and bring hope to all who read it, creating a meaningful impact in Gibraltar and beyond.”
Christina Marie Giuffré said: “My goal with Dear Friend was to create something real and heartfelt. After losing my beloved furry friend Sunny earlier this year, writing became my way to honour his memory, and you’ll find his cheeky cartoon-self popping up throughout the book.
“It’s like sitting down with a dear friend who knows exactly when to offer a warm hug, chocolate or a burst of laughter. If you've ever doubted your self-worth, this book is your reminder that you are worthy, loved, and more than enough.”
“Self-compassion is crucial, especially in a world that often demands we be perfect,” adds Giuffré. “This book is about celebrating diversity—not just in the workplace, but within us. It’s about learning to see our imperfections as part of what makes us beautifully human.”
