Jul 14 - Couple Arrested For False Imprisonment
14 July 2016
A middle-aged couple have been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment after they refused to allow a younger man to leave their flat, on Tuesday afternoon.
The 46-year-old woman and 62-year-old man, both from Gibraltar, invited the 23-year-old man into their home and held him hostage until the Royal Gibraltar Police were called.
Officers attended the scene at a local address and made the arrest and subsequently took the couple, who cannot be named for legal reasons, up to New Mole House for questioning.
They have been released on bail pending further investigations.
