Jul 19 - HM Customs Tobacco Operation Sees Four More Arrests

As the result of an ongoing operation focusing on illicit tobacco activity, HM Customs yesterday evening arrested four individuals and seized a total of 90,000 cigarettes and a vehicle.

The manager of a retail Tobacco outlet in Ocean Heights has been arrested for offences under the Tobacco Act. The other three individuals have been arrested for the illegal possession of a commercial quantity of cigarettes.

All four defendants have been released on bail until the 22nd of August 2016 whilst investigations are ongoing.
