Jan 23 - Two Estonians Fined After Pleading Guilty To Theft Charges
Two Estonian nationals pleaded guilty to five counts of theft at the Magistrates' Court this morning.
Aivar Sard, 51, and Allan Sakala, 23, both resident in Alicante Spain, were arrested on Friday 20th January by uniformed officers following reports of thefts at various retail outlets in Gibraltar.
On conclusion of the investigation, both were jointly charged with five counts of theft and remanded in police custody over the weekend pending their appearance in the Magistrates’ court earlier today.
On appearing in court today they pleaded guilty to all the charges and were fined £800 each by the Lay Magistrates.
