Eight Men Recovered by RGP Marine Section
16 June 2021

After being informed that a small RHIB had been seen around 200 metres south west of Europa Point early this morning, the RGP’s Marine Section immediately deployed and were able to pick up eight men from their 4-metre, single engine Zodiac.
The males, all of North African origin, were brought back to the Marine Section’s base where they were arrested on suspicion of being in BGTW without a valid permit or certificate.
The ages of the men ranged from 19 to 32. None of them required medical attention.
