The Royal Gibraltar Police has launched an investigation following the sudden death of a woman early this morning.

A statement from the RGP follows below:

At around 7:20am, the RGP Control Room received a report that a body had been found in the area of Eurotowers.

A female is confirmed to have passed away at the scene.

Gibraltar Ambulance Service were also dispatched to the area.

RGP officers and Crime Scene Investigators are currently at location conducting enquiries.

The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

A post mortem will be carried out in due course.
