Arrests Made Following Burglary In Town

In the early hours of Friday 24th October 2025, a Burglary was reported at a business premises located in the city-centre, whereby two individuals had forced their entry into the premises and stolen cash and property valued at approximately £1200.
A statement from the RGP follows below:
Officers from Response Team 3 attended the scene and commenced an investigation, whereupon they identified both suspects. The following day officers arrested a 20 year old local male on suspicion of Burglary, with a search of his residential address resulting in officers identifying and recovering all property stolen at the Burglary.
A 16 year old male juvenile was separately also arrested on suspicion of Burglary, with a search of his residential address resulting in the seizure of a quantity of a Controlled Class B drug. As a result, he was additionally arrested on suspicion of Possession and Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class B drug. The investigation is ongoing.
