Sudanese National Extradited to France

31-year-old Sudanese national, Mahadi Baharadin AHMED, was extradited from Gibraltar to France earlier this month to answer charges relating to a high-value robbery committed in Paris, France in June 2022.
The extradition concluded legal proceedings that had been commenced on the 7th October 2025, when RGP Special Branch officers who were on duty at Gibraltar International Airport arrested AHMED after disembarking a flight from the UK.
AHMED, who used several aliases, was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued by French Authorities in December 2024, and was arrested by the RGP under the provision of Gibraltar’s Extradition Act 2018.
Following his initial appearance before the Magistrates’ Court on October 2025, he had been remanded in custody until the conclusion of extradition proceedings led to his handover by RGP officers to French authorities at the land frontier.
