Feb 12 - Local Man Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Charges
A local man pleaded guilty to several cocaine charges at the Supreme Court this morning.
Ernest Ullger, 46, pleaded guilty to one count of possession and one count of possession with intent to supply 45.5g of cocaine. He also pleaded guilty to possession and possession with intent to supply 20.9g of the drug. The first offence dates back to October last year.
The second set of drug charges relate to an incident which took place on Friday 23rd January 2015, while Ullger was on bail.
Ullger had been observed to be acting suspiciously in Laguna Estate. When approached, Ullger attempted to evade capture, injuring several police officers in the process. He was arrested on Sir Herbert Miles Road after a high-speed car chase and found to be in possession of 20.9g of cocaine.
He was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Today, in addition to the four drug charges, Ullger also pleaded guilty to this offence.
Ullger is represented by Chris Miles. He will be sentenced on the 17th March.
