Call for Graduating Visual Art Students
The Fine Arts Association invites all visual art students graduating in 2026 to participate in this year’s Graduate Showcase, taking place from 24 August to 11 September 2026.
The Graduate Showcase provides an excellent opportunity for emerging artists to present their final works to the public in a professional gallery setting and celebrate the next step in their creative journey.
Graduating students interested in exhibiting are encouraged to contact the Fine Arts Gallery between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on 20052126 for further information and registration details.
Exhibition: Killing Time
The Fine Arts Gallery is also proud to present Killing Time, a collaborative exhibition by Nour Khamis and Asta Azopardi.
Bringing together illustration, animation and imaginative storytelling, Killing Time invites visitors into whimsical worlds inhabited by laid-back characters and playful narratives. The exhibition celebrates creativity, humour and the joy of slowing down through engaging visual art.
Both artists will also be holding two free workshops over the weekend available to all ages.
Workshop: Yes, You Can Draw!
Everyone is welcome to discover the fun of character design at Yes, You Can Draw!, an accessible workshop designed for participants of all ages and abilities.
Hosted by Asta Azopardi and Nour Khamis, the workshop will take place on Sunday, 12 July, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates Square. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to develop your creative skills, this hands-on session promises an enjoyable introduction to character creation.

Workshop: Intro to Stop Motion
Aspiring animators are invited to explore the magic of stop-motion filmmaking in Intro to Stop Motion, a practical workshop suitable for all experience levels.
Hosted by Asta Azopardi and Nour Khamis, the workshop will be held on 11 July, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates Square. Participants will learn the fundamentals of stop-motion animation while creating their own short animated sequences.
The Fine Arts Association welcomes the public to take part in this vibrant programme celebrating creativity, emerging talent and artistic expression.
