Routine Nuclear Alarm Test Tomorrow

A routine test of the Nuclear Alarm system at His Majesty’s Naval Base, including South Mole, will take place tomorrow from 10am. The alarm may be heard in nearby areas of Gibraltar, but no action is required from the public.

A statement from British Forces Gibraltar follows below:

Routine function tests of the Nuclear Alarm system at His Majesty’s Naval Base (HMNB),  including South Mole, will be conducted tomorrow 4 September 2026 from 1000hrs. 

The alarm system may be audible to members of the public in the vicinity of HMNB and  South Mole, or other areas of Gibraltar. 

These routine safety tests require no response from the public.
