Apr 21 - Third Felice Play Selected For Publication
A third play by Gibraltarian playwright Julian Felice has been selected for publication in the United States by Florida-based company Eldridge Plays.
The Amazing Angel-Man, which won Best Original Play at last month’s Gibraltar Drama Festival, tells the story of a young boy who suffers from Angelman Syndrome, alternating from a reality that shows his father struggling to come to terms with the condition to a fantasy world where the boy imagines himself to be a superhero, the Amazing Angel-Man. The two worlds slowly start to overlap with each other in an uplifting story that triumphs hope and imagination over adversity.
After publication, the play will form part of Eldridge Plays’ catalogue and will be marketed to schools and youth drama groups across the United States, with a European distribution hub in the Netherlands. It represents the third of Julian’s plays to be published by the company, following Mary Jane of Whitechapel and Challenger: To Touch the Face of God, which is being performed in Waco, Texas next week. A local launch will be held shortly.
