Four-Star Reviews For Gibraltar London Play

A production of a play written by local playwright Julian Felice and performed by Dramatis Personae has received highly positive rewards from the London theatre press following its recent run at The Space, a theatre on the Isle of Dogs. “The Blue Whale” received four stars (out of five) from London Theatre and Adventures In Theatreland, as well as three-and-a-half stars from The Reviews Hub. The play was watched by over two hundred people over three days, both in person and online, including Minister for Culture John Cortes, UK Representative Dominique Searle, and members of Friends of Gibraltar Heritage Society, as well as many Gibraltarians living in the London area. This was the first time that a play written by a Gibraltarian has ever been performed in a London theatre by a Gibraltarian company.

Tangier Exchange, Donation to Donabo Gardens And MFG Talk

Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture attended the launch event of a commemorative coin, celebrating the historical relation between Gibraltar and Morocco. The event which was organised by The Gibraltar Morocco Business Association, was held in Donabo Gardens in Tangier and coincided with a cultural exchange being organised by GCS and the JM Memorial Foundation marking the links and relationship between both communities.

Llanito Category Now Included As Part Of Spring Short Story Competition

The Spring Short Story Competition 2023 was launched earlier this year by Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS). Having given due consideration to Gibraltar’s cultural heritage, an additional Llanito story category has now been included to “help promote and safeguard our unique language.” GCS says it expects this to be an interesting addition which will be well received.
