One of 2015's biggest and catchiest songs is coming to the Rock. The Gibraltar Music Festival organisers have recently announced that the international sensation OMI will be performing at the two-day long event.
The first move of the Gibraltar Junior International Chess Festival took place this morning at the Caleta Hotel. The event hosts players in two categories: the under 16s and under 12s category.
A novel by Sam Benady has been translated into Spanish. “The Keys of the City” which was written in the 1990s, tells the tale of the time when Gibraltar, which had recently been recaptured from the Moors, was sold by the Duke of Medina Sidonia to a group of conversos (families who were of Jewish origin, but converted - sometimes forcibly - to Christianity) who were fleeing persecution.
Next Friday marks the start of Gibraltar’s National Celebrations organised by the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group (SDGG) in conjunction with Gibraltar Cultural Services.
The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation is very busy organising the IDO European Show Dance Championships together with Santos Productions. The event takes place over four days between Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th October 2015 at the Tercentenary Sports Hall.
