Apr 06 - GSD Supports National Day Balloon Ban
06 April 2016
The GSD says it welcomes the announcement that the National Day mass balloon release will not go ahead.
Trevor Hammond, Environmental Spokesman for the GSD said: “We are delighted with the decision taken today by the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group. We issued a statement some weeks ago making clear that we were in agreement with the local environmental groups on this issue. We can all enjoy an environmentally friendly National Day and I'm sure an entertaining alternative will be found for the balloon release that we can all enjoy.”
