May 13 - Gibraltar CPA Delegation To Attend Jersey Conference
A delegation from the Gibraltar Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association will be attending the 46th Regional Conference of the British Islands and Mediterranean Region which is being held in Jersey from 15th to 18th May.
The Gibraltar Branch will be represented by the Ms Samantha Sacramento (Minister for Tourism, Housing, Equality and Social Services) who is the Leader of the delegation, Gilbert H Licudi (Minister for Minister for Education and Justice & International Exchange of Information) and Opposition Members Edwin J Reyes and Roy M Clinton. The Honorary Secretary of the Branch, Mr Paul Martinez, will accompany the delegation.
The Conference theme this year is: “Parliaments and public engagement”. This framework will be used to explore how CPA Parliaments have developed and maintained a meaningful connection with the public, particularly young people.
The Conference will take the form of a series of plenary sessions addressed by invited speakers on selected relevant topics followed by workshops in which delegates are invited to contribute and discuss.
