Jun 15 – GSD Blasts “Misleading Leave Leaflet”
Daniel Feetham, the Leader of the GSD, has today said that the leaflet being distributed around Gibraltar by the Vote Leave campaign (pictured below) “is as misleading as many of the arguments they are deploying in the United Kingdom.”
Mr Feetham continued: “Voting leave will not enhance or protect our right to self- determination as it is claimed. The Spanish Foreign Minister, Mr Margallo, has already said that in a BREXIT situation the Spanish Government will demand joint sovereignty as a condition of Gibraltar gaining access into the single market. A vote to leave the EU would, therefore, be very dangerous for Gibraltar. This referendum is about giving Spain no hope on the sovereignty of Gibraltar. It is precisely the reason why we must all turn out in massive numbers to vote Remain”.
