Feb 10 - Master Service Reassures Employees About Their Concerns

Master Service notes the recent comments in the press surrounding the public cleaning contract they currently have with the Government of Gibraltar, about the renewal of this contract  and the fact that it is being put out to tender.

A spokesman for the company said: "Whilst the company would obviously have wished that it were not a legal requirement to have its contract subject to tender under EU law, it understands and accepts that due to the nature of the same it is necessary and proper that the contract is put to tender by the Government in order to ensure quality value for the taxpayer.

"Master Service wishes to reassure all its employees publicly that it will of course be submitting a tender for the contract and it is confident that, given the company’s unparalleled expertise and infrastructure, it will be well placed to submit a most competitive tender.

"The company wishes to take this opportunity to thank its loyal employees for the support and solidarity they are showing and reassures them that the directors will work very hard to ensure their interests and well being are safeguarded."
