May 09 - Queens Speech "Gibraltarians’ right to determine their political futures"
Her Majesty The Queen's speech this year was a great boost of confidence to all the Gibraltarians who have sometimes doubted the British support and action over the territorial waters and other issues. Yesterday, Her Majesty announced that:
“My government will ensure the security, good governance and development of the Overseas Territories, including by protecting the Falkland Islanders’ and Gibraltarians’ right to determine their political futures.”
In and amongst the rest of the issues in her speech at the State opening of Parliament, Her Majesty added these important and crucial words which we are sure will resonate with Gibraltarians everywhere.
