Apr 30 - GSD Regrets Not Being Invited To May Day Rally
The GSD says it regrets that it has not been invited to the May Day Rally this year. The party says that the move follows what it describes as the "sudden withdrawal" of an invitation by Unite last year for the Leader of the Opposition, Daniel Feetham, to speak at the event following what it claims was pressure from the Chief Minister.
This year, says the Opposition, none of the GSD Members of Parliament have received an invitation despite the event being funded by the taxpayer. A spokesman for the GSD said: "It is regrettable that on such an important day, the Opposition is excluded. The Government appears to only want unity when it suits them."
