A total of 30 international and some local experts have been invited to present and discuss topics of contemporary interest within this industry, whilst the audience will be given the opportunity to participate and engage in open discussion.
Delegates will hear and interact with the speakers on a variety of maritime-related matters as well as being able to take advantage of the networking opportunities afforded by the presentations, workshops and social events.
The Minister for Maritime Services, Albert Isola has stated: "I am very pleased to announce the commencement of Gibraltar Maritime Week 2015 this week. The three day event brings together some of the world's maritime experts in their field.
"Gibraltar has served as a maritime hub for a range of maritime activities over the years and now we want to use our position as a gateway for the policy makers of the future; some of the topics that will be raised will influence international maritime practice for years to come. It is also a fantastic opportunity to showcase what Gibraltar has to offer as a centre of maritime excellence."
