Aug 21 - GSD Wishes Selwyn Figueras All The Best Following Announcement
The GSD says it wishes Selwyn Figueras all the best in the future. The party says it “recognises and acknowledges the very useful contribution” which he has made during the course of the 2011 general election campaign which saw him elected as an MP for the first time. The party adds that his parliamentary contributions should also be recognised “not only because he has held the Government to account on many issues particularly on traffic and the long awaited Traffic Plan but also for the manner in which he has discharged those duties with common sense and humour.”
"Selwyn has provided Damon Bossino and I with very sound advice since we assumed the roles of Leader and Deputy Leader of the party respectively. I no doubt speak on behalf of both sides of the House when I say that he will be sorely missed in Parliament. I wish to take the opportunity of wishing Selwyn, his wife Jandra and his young boys all the very best and assure him that the party will continue to look forward to his support now and into the future,” said the Leader of the Opposition, Daniel Feetham.
