At a short ceremony held yesterday morning at New Mole House Police HQ, Commissioner of Police Eddie Yome presented Commendations to Ms Nicole Ferro, Personal Assistant to His Worship the Mayor, Mrs Joyce Diaz, Protocol Officer for Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar and RGP Staff Officer, Inspector William A Gomez.

This was ‘For outstanding dedication to duty in the coordination and implementation of the Freedom of the City Parade and ancillary events’.

Mr. Yome highlighted that it is unusual for Commissioner’s Commendations to be awarded to persons outside the RGP but that, on this occasion, the dedication to duty and exemplary work carried out by the recipients during the lead-up to this prestigious occasion merited such an award.
