Nov 21 - Most Excellent Order Of The British Empire Holds AGM
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire Gibraltar Association held its Annual General Meeting at The King's Chapel at 6.30 pm on Thursday 17th November.
The existing members of the Executive Committee were unanimously re-elected to serve for a further year, as follows:
Chairman: Mr Richard Labrador, MBE
Treasurer: Mr Marcus Killick, OBE
Secretary: Mr Dilip Dayaram Tirathdas, MBE

Mrs Celia Baldachino, MBE
Mr Alexis Almeda, MBE
Mrs Emily Adamberry Olivero, MBE
Mrs Jean Penney, BEM
Mrs Mary Sene, BEM
Ex-Officio Member Revd Michael Wagstaff, Command Chaplain
The following members were also re-elected to serve for a further year in order to inspect and assess the accounts of the Association:

Mr Ricky Rhoda, CBE QC
The Association of the Order in Gibraltar was formed in September 2014. Its aims include the promotion of loyalty to the Sovereign, good citizenship in Gibraltar and to foster pride in British Nationality. Other aims also include the organisation of social and cultural activities for its members and to undertake social, charitable and general cultural activities in support of the community.
Membership of the Association is open to anyone who resides in or has close links with Gibraltar and who has been appointed to any of the classes of the Order or has been awarded the British Empire Medal.
One of the functions of the Association is to nominate persons in Gibraltar considered meritorious for appointment to any of the classes of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire or for the award of the British Empire for Meritorious Service.
