Sep 14 - Cancer Relief Gibraltar To Hold Coffee Morning At Calpe Rowing Club
Cancer Relief Gibraltar will be running a coffee morning on Friday 21st September at the Calpe Rowing Club, Europort Road from 10am to 1pm.
The public is invited to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee, a sandwich and cake with friends and family to help fundraise for Cancer Relief.
A spokesperson said: "There are so many in the community who suffer from cancer and need our help. The Cancer Relief Centre supported 260 people in 2017; this means that every week about 70 persons (both patients and families) used one or more of the Centre’s services.
"These services include; Day Support, Complementary Therapies, Nurse and GHA GP Clinics, Headsmart (wigs) and Pampering, Counselling and Talk Therapy, our Hospice at Home Nursing Service as well as a Financial Assistance scheme and loaning Nursing Equipment to care for people at home.
"To achieve this care, the charity currently employs five nurses and an administrator; together we are able to offer these services because of the financial support the charity receives from the community. This is why fund-raising is so important to keep the good work going. Cancer Relief’s goal is to make sure that no one has to face cancer alone. Please help raise more funds so that this valuable work can continue."
