RGP Annual Staff Awards

Yesterday morning, the Commissioner of Police Richard Ullger presented two annual staff awards at New Mole House Police Headquarters.

The Gavin Clinton Constable of the Year Award was presented to DC 75 Byron Shute.

Detective Chief Inspector Roy Perez said, ‘DC Shute always shows a passion for his job in the Drug Squad and I can always rely on him to get the job done, no matter how complex. He has also come forward with a number of innovative ideas which we will definitely put into place in the near future. On occasions he has been seconded to other departments where he has always shown the same positive and constructive attitude.’

The Support Staff Employee of the Year Award was presented to Francesca Moreno.

SEO Stephen Azopardi said, ‘Francesca always tackles whatever tasks are assigned to her with enthusiasm and interest. She has carried out the full range of duties and responsibilities of her role, including the management of junior staff in a diligent and competent manner. She is extremely hardworking, responsible and very much a team player.’

Commissioner Richard Ullger said,

‘We find it difficult to choose just two members of our hard-working team but this year’s recipients are both well-deserving of their awards and, on behalf of the Command Team, I am delighted to recognise the outstanding contribution they have made to the RGP’s work.’
