Unite The Union Calls Off LifeCome Demonstration Following Constructive Talks
Unite the Union yesterday confirmed that the demonstration planned for Monday 11th November has been cancelled.
A statement from Unite follows below:
After a constructive meeting with both Lifecome and the Care Agency, Unite the Union, our shop stewards our membership are satisfied by the reassurance given that the issues our members have been experiencing will be resolved without delay.
Bochra Lasfar, Regional Officer, said “Today’s meeting was certainly a step in the right direction, and we hope that the measures that have been put in place will ensure that our members do not find themselves in the same situation in future. We call upon the development and establishment of a constructive industrial relationship between the union and Lifecome so as issues that arise can be resolved quickly and efficiently”.
