A statement from the Fine Arts Association follows below:
The Fine Arts Association (FAA) is thrilled to announce the acceptance of Christian Hook to be its patron, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to supporting and promoting the vibrant artistic community of Gibraltar.
Christian Hook, a distinguished Gibraltarian artist renowned in the international art scene, brings with him a wealth of experience and connections from his extensive career in art galleries and dealings worldwide. His unique perspective and expertise will be invaluable as we strive to nurture and elevate emerging Gibraltarian artists.
Having previously been a member of the FAA, Christian is no stranger to our mission. Moreover, as a former Head of Art at Westside School, Christian is keen to foster artistic talent within our community and is willing to provide guidance and support to young artists. Through mentorship, exhibitions, and strategic promotion, Christian aims to bridge the gap between local talent and the global art market.
"We are honoured to have Christian back with us as our patron," said John Langdon, President of the Fine Arts Association. "His success and dedication to the arts make him an ideal figure to inspire and uplift our young artists. With his support, we are confident that we can create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of Gibraltarian talent."
Christian Hook commented, "I am excited to return to the Fine Arts Association as its patron and contribute to the growth of our local artists. Gibraltar is home to so much untapped creativity, and I look forward to working alongside these talented individuals to help them reach their full potential."
The Fine Arts Association invites the community to join us in welcoming Christian Hook as the FAA’s patron. Together, we will continue to celebrate and promote the rich artistic heritage of Gibraltar, ensuring that the voices of our emerging artists are heard both locally and internationally.
