Minister Arias-Vasquez Welcomes His Excellency the Governor to St Bernard’s Hospital on Familiarisation Visit

The Minister for Health and Care, Gemma Arias-Vasquez, welcomed His Excellency the Governor, Sir Ben Bathurst and Lady Bathurst to St Bernard’s Hospital last week. HE and the Minister were accompanied by the GHA Director General and Medical Director, as well as other members of the GHA Executive Team.
During the visit, His Excellency was shown around the Accident and Emergency Department, the Ambulance Service, the newly built Cath Lab, the Day Surgery Unit, the 111 call centre and the Primary Care Centre.
His Excellency and Lady Bathurst also had the opportunity to talk to staff and patients alike.
Minister Arias-Vasquez, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome His Excellency to St Bernard’s Hospital on a familiarisation visit. I would like to thank him and Lady Bathurst for taking the time to visit us, and to see for themselves the first class health service we run. Thank you also to the staff at the GHA for ensuring the visit was a success.”
