Gibraltar Bus Company Drivers' Working Group

The Ministry of Transport held its first meeting with the Gibraltar Bus Company Drivers' Working group yesterday morning.
A statement from the Government follows below:
The group were greeted by the Minister for Transport, Prof John Cortes, who thanked them for their efforts over the past year since he picked up the transport portfolio and committed to listening to and implementing improvements raised by the group wherever feasible.
Amongst other issues, the group discussed:
• The purchase of a new ticketing system and its implementation
• Improvements to how shifts are assigned
• Improvements to annual leave allocation
• Improvements to route timings
• Review of Night Bus Service routes
The next working group meeting will take place at the end of the month.
The public is invited to send their views and ideas to improve the bus service by emailing
Minister for Transport, the Hon Prof John Cortes, said: “I am very pleased to support the work of
this Working Group, as feedback from the team is essential in improving their conditions and the
service we provide to the public. I am grateful to the drivers for engaging in this way in order to
progress the work of the Bus Company”.
