Europort Digital Skills Academy Present Cyber Security Certificates
20 February 2025

The Europort Digital Skills Academy have presented the first Cyber Security certificates of the year.
A statement from the Europort Digital Skills Academy follows below:
The Europort Digital Skills Academy are proud to present the first Cyber Security certificates of the year, endorsed by our sponsors.
These certificates were achieved in December after a term-long study into Linux Security Fundamentals. Both Junior and Senior classes went through a bespoke curriculum created by Mr Jared Cruz (Head of School (Cyber) which was based around the skill sets required by industry and that truly tested their skills and knowledge. All students undertook both practical and theory assessments during this time.
Certificates presented were for grades with a Pass, Merit and Distinction. Students with distinctions were awarded gift vouchers from Music Corner.
A great achievement for the students, and a proud day for the Academy.
Stewart Harrison, Founding Director of the Europort Digital Skills Academy 'The fact that the Academy is now creating a curriculum and assessing these skill sets through both practical and theory shows how we are evolving as an educational institution and working to teaching and delivering the skills sets so much required by Industry.
It also allows us to really engage our students in areas that have always been difficult in comparison to other pastimes. Not only with equipment but also the learning resources.
My appreciation goes to Head of School Mr Jared Cruz who has been the mastermind behind everything that is cyber at The Academy.'
