The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) is hosting Digital Week from 24th-28th February at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel.

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), the oldest and largest Commonwealth intergovernmental organisation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), recognises digitalisation as one of the foremost transformative opportunities of our time. It continues to reshape our world in ways that would have been unimaginable just a few decades ago. The CTO’s strategic direction is focused on assisting its members in accelerating digital transformation.

The CTO is thrilled to announce Digital Week - Gibraltar, which will take place from 24 - 28 February 2025 under the theme Action for Impact. During this transformative week, government leaders, ICT ministers, industry pioneers, regulators, and global stakeholders will gather at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel Resort in Gibraltar to engage in meaningful dialogue aimed at accelerating technological transformation across the Commonwealth.

Gibraltar, a self-governing British overseas territory strategically located at the gateway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, has emerged as a hub for technological advancement and economic growth. Despite its small size, Gibraltar has witnessed an unprecedented rise in tech start-ups. Its unique infrastructure, business-friendly environment, and prime location make it a launchpad for ambitious tech entrepreneurs with global aspirations. Cryptocurrency firms, online gaming empires, and fintech corporations have found a haven in Gibraltar, solidifying its reputation as an innovative, fast-paced, and visionary country.

The Government of Gibraltar, in partnership with the CTO, will host Digital Week. This event promises to be a distinctive platform for exploring the latest advancements in ICT, fostering collaborative partnerships, and developing actionable solutions to create a more connected Commonwealth. The forum will feature thought leadership and knowledge exchange, ensuring that member nations are well-equipped to thrive in the evolving digital landscape. 

The CTO and the Government of Gibraltar jointly launched the event at an opening Sunborn Yacht Hotel Resort on Sunday 23, February 2025. Sir Joe Bossano the hosting Minister is not currently available, His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar will be represented by The Hon. Nigel Feetham MP, Minister for Trade and Industry, HM Government of Gibraltar.

Digital Week Gibraltar marks a significant step in the Commonwealth’s collective digital journey.
