Minister for Sport Sends Best Wishes to Gibraltar Netball

The Gibraltar Netball U17 squad left today to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where they will be competing in the Europe Netball Under 17 Challenge.
Gibraltar will be competing in Division 2 and will face opposition from Isle of Man, Switzerland and France. The outcome of these matches will then determine the possibility of ranking within the top 8 nations in the event.
Additionally, the squad will be accompanied by Siobhan Gregory, a local A-Award umpire who will be officiating at the event.
The Minister for Sport, Leslie Bruzon, said: “As always, the best of Gibraltarian luck to this talented group of Netballers who I am certain will not only make Gibraltar proud but burst every sinew in their pursuit of the results. Also, mention must be made of Siobhan Gregory’s nomination: it is fantastic to see the continued presence of Gibraltar in an officiating capacity at such events.
“With the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 edging ever closer, we tend to forget that other international commitments and work in other areas continues for the GNA. Well done and best of luck to all concerned once again.”
