Gibraltar Heritage Trust Welcomes New Community Mental Health Facility At Joshua Hassan House

The Gibraltar Heritage Trust says it welcomes the announcement by Minister Gemma Arias-Vasquez, confirming Joshua Hassan House as the site for Gibraltar’s new Community Mental Health Team facility.
A statement from the Gibraltar Heritage Trust follows bellow:
Joshua Hassan House, named after Gibraltar’s first Chief Minister, holds significant historical value not only through its record of use for public service, but also its fabric and form. We commend the Government for listening to concerns raised about the previously announced location at the ex-Gibraltar Chronicle Printing Works and selecting a site that that balances accessibility, functionality, and the well-being of service users as well as respecting the heritage value of the exisiting building.
The future of the buildings currently housing the offices of the Ombudsman and the Citizen’s Adivce Bureau will remain on our radar as these will presumably be repurposed in due course.
We look forward to engaging with the finer detail of the project as it progresses through the planning process.
