CCDSL To Conduct Town Hall Meeting For Domiciliary Care Service Users And Family Members

Community Care Domiciliary Services will be hosting a meeting on Tuesday 6th May 2025 at 3:00pm at Inces Hall, inviting all service user and their families to meet the CCDSL team and hear more about the ongoing transition of domiciliary care services in Gibraltar.

A statement from CCDSL follows below:

This meeting forms part of CCDSL’s wider efforts to ensure a seamless and transparent handover of services following the announcement that LifeCome Care Gibraltar Ltd will cease operations on 26th April 2025. From 27th April 2025, CCDSL will assume full responsibility for the provision of domiciliary care services under the oversight of the Care Agency.

The Town Hall will provide an opportunity for attendees to:

  • Meet the new CCDSL management team and staff

  • Learn about the continuity of care measures in place

  • Understand how the transition will impact service users

  • Ask questions directly to those leading the service

The Minister for Health and Care, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez, has also been invited to attend.

While the majority of care workers will remain familiar faces to service users, CCDSL is introducing a new          professional identity with updated uniforms and branding.

The Managing Director of CCDSL, Mrs Gerry Lane, will also be conducting personal visits to each district in the weeks ahead to engage with service users and their families directly. These in-person interactions are aimed at building relationships and hearing concerns in order to improve the service.
