Promotion to Senior Port Officer

The Gibraltar Port Authority is pleased to confirm that Shane Ramagge, previously a Port Officer, has been promoted to Senior Port Officer. Shane joined the GPA in December 2014 after working in the industry for several years. He undertook the V103/1 Course successfully at South Tyneside College UK.
In June 2018 Shane was promoted to the rank of Port Officer where he has since been working in various roles. In February 2019 Shane successfully undertook the V103/2 Supervisors course at South Tyneside College UK, and also in 2019 Shane qualified as a Port Facilities security officer where he spent the last 6 years working. In 2021 Shane also undertook a Diploma in Marine Accident Investigation, from North Kent College UK. Shane is now pleased to be the latest member of the GPA Senior Management team.
The Captain of the Port, John Ghio, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Shane to Senior Management. This promotion reflects the hard work and dedication which characterises him and I look forward to his contribution to the GPA from his new role.”
