Minister Cortes Meets Strait Of Gibraltar Association

Minister John Cortes, whose portfolio includes developing relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, met with representatives of the Strait of Gibraltar Association last week.
A statement from the Government follows below:
There were detailed discussions on the aspirations of the Association in developing further social and cultural links with communities across the Strait. An ambitious programme of events is planned, both in Gibraltar and in northern Morocco, for the next year, and the Minister committed his Ministry’s support, as well as his own, to the Association’s work.
Minister Cortes said: “There is growing enthusiasm in our community to expand our links with our neighbours to the south. We are privileged to live at a crossroads of cultures and landscapes, and fostering mutual exchanges and knowledge will continue to enrich us all as communities.”
