Gibraltar Fire And Rescue Service Personnel Attend Servicing Course

Personnel from the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service’s Motor Transport Section took part in a three-day Holmatro Technician Refresher Training Course in Raamsdonksveer, Netherlands. Airport Fire and Rescue Service personnel joined for the second course, held in June.
A statement from the Government follows below:
These three-day courses are designed to ensure personnel remain competent in inspecting and repairing Holmatro's high-pressure hydraulic tools, primarily associated with road traffic collisions. The course centred on:
– Understanding hydraulics in general
– Performing annual maintenance on pumps and tools
– Basic diagnostics on pumps and tools
– Performing minor repairs on pumps and tools
Holmatro hydraulic equipment is but another vital element of GFRS’ wide range of response capabilities, requiring the servicing team to work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the safety and operational readiness of this and all GFRS appliances and equipment.
