Eight GPA Officers Complete Search And Rescue Course

The Gibraltar Port Authority is pleased to announce that eight officers have successfully completed a three-day Search and Rescue (SAR) Course at Management Level, delivered by the University of Gibraltar Maritime Academy in collaboration with trusted partners from the Maritime Skills Academy.

The course featured a combination of theoretical lectures at the University and daily practical sessions held in the Bay of Gibraltar, culminating in a full-scale, realistic exercise on the final day. This final scenario brought together all the elements covered throughout the course, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a coordinated and dynamic environment.
All learning out comes were met with a high standard of performance, strengtheningGibraltar’s SAR capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to continuous professional development in maritime safety and emergency response.
