Gibraltarian Re-elected As Chair Of Citizens Advice International

The Annual General Meeting of Citizens Advice International (CAI) was recently held in Prague, Czech Republic, and was attended by Chief Executives of Citizens Advice organisations from various countries. At this meeting, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Bureau Gibraltar, Gibraltarian Pili Rodriguez, was unanimously re-elected to continue serving as Chair of Citizens Advice International, a position she has held for several years.
A statement from the Government follows below:
Citizens Advice Gibraltar, which operates under the Ministry of Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, provides free, impartial, and confidential advice and information to the public about their rights. Through its work, CAB ensures that individuals across Gibraltar receive support and guidance on a wide range of personal, social, and economic issues.
Citizens Advice International works to promote the provision of free, impartial, and confidential advice and information to the public globally through independent, non-governmental bodies. It also serves as a platform for co-operation, joint projects, and information exchange, addressing the fundamental needs of people worldwide.
Following her re-election, Ms. Rodriguez stated: “It is an honour and a privilege to be serving Citizens Advice International for several years as Chair. This continued support reflects confidence in my leadership, advocacy, and dedication to strengthening the organisation’s global mission — giving clients a voice.”
Deputy Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Gibraltar, Ivan Cruz, continues as a Council Member of CAI, and added: “This event has given Gibraltar the opportunity to discuss the innovations and initiatives that CAB has developed for the community locally, and it is very gratifying to see other larger jurisdictions emulating them.”
Commenting on the news, the Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, the Hon Christian Santos GMD MP said: “I wish to warmly congratulate Ms. Rodriguez on her re-election as Chair of Citizens Advice International. This recognition reflects not only her dedication and leadership but also the outstanding work being carried out by Citizens Advice Gibraltar. The team’s commitment to ensuring access to impartial and confidential advice for all is a credit to Gibraltar, and we are proud that their efforts are being recognised on the international stage.”
