Refurbishment Works Progressing At Europa Point

Staff from the Department of the Environment have been carrying out repairs and painting throughout the area of Europa Point.
A statement form the Government follows below:
Staff from the Department of the Environment have been hard at work giving the area of Europa Point a facelift, carrying out repairs and painting throughout the area.
Metal railings, which corrode easily in the salt spray on this exposed site have been treated and painted, as have wooden railings, and other features in the area, like the interpretation centre at Harding’s Battery have also been spruced up.
Minister for Environment John Cortes said, “It is important that we maintain our sites, for the enjoyment of local users as well as tourists, and I am proud of the staff of the Department who are committed to organising and carrying out this work”.
