The GSD says it takes note of the Government statement reporting on the Chief Minister's emergency eye operation and its effects on his duties. 

A statement continued: “Mr Picardo is of course assured of the Opposition's desire that he has a successful operation and a prompt recovery.”

The Leader of the Opposition, Keith Azopardi said: "I have spoken to the Chief Minister to wish him well on his emergency eye surgery. 

“I have extended the GSD Opposition's well wishes and speedy recovery and we have agreed to postpone any non-urgent Parliamentary business scheduled for next week pending his return.”
