Autumn Poetry Competition Winners 2025

The annual Poetry Competition, organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services and the Gibraltar Chronicle, attracted a total of 252 entries.
A statement from GCS follows below:
The awards were presented by the Minister for Culture, The Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, on Wednesday 10th December 2025 at 5pm at BOOKgem.
The winners are as follows:
Overall Winner (£1000): Alfred Gerada ‘Te Pierdo Twice’
Adult Winner (£500): Kate Julianne Williamson ‘Delivered Ten Years Ago’
Runner Up: Tessa Rosado – Standen ‘If I spent More Time With My Two Year Old’
Highly Commended: Sarah Anne Duarte ‘Maternity Leave’
Best Spanish Poem (£500): Bryley Anne Mor ‘Cadenas Invisibles’
Runner Up: Naomi Duarte ‘El Nino No Tiene Culpa’
Highly Commended: Davina Barbara ‘Siempre Conmigo’
Llanito Winner (£500): Jonathan Teuma ‘Llanita Sea, Esta Odisea’
Runner Up: Colin Golt ‘Haikus De Autumn’
Highly Commended: Julian Felice ‘La Ultima Tecnica’

Runner Up: Daisy Moir ‘Fields’

The Gibraltar Chronicle kindly donated a 3-month online subscription to the Overall Winner, as well as vouchers and pens for the winners of the school categories.
