RGP Economic Crime Unit Investigators Achieve UK Skills For Justice Accreditation

Seven Financial Investigators from the Royal Gibraltar Police’s Economic Crime Unit have successfully achieved certification as Economic Crime Investigators through the UK Skills for Justice program.
A statement from the RGP follows below:
Seven Financial Investigators from the Royal Gibraltar Police’s Economic Crime Unit, comprising both Detective Constables and civilian Financial Investigators, have successfully completed a rigorous and lengthy process to achieve certification as Economic Crime Investigators through the UK Skills for Justice program.
This accreditation follows an extensive training pathway. The investigators completed an intensive two-week course in March 2025, during which they were required to pass a series of academic examinations. This was followed by the completion of a comprehensive Professional Development Plan, requiring them to demonstrate and evidence their ongoing professional learning and development in the field of economic crime investigation.
The Royal Gibraltar Police remains firmly committed to developing its personnel to the highest professional standards. This achievement reflects the organisation’s dedication to ensuring capability, resilience, and expertise when tackling economic and complex financial crimes.
This milestone not only highlights the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved but also reinforces the Royal Gibraltar Police’s ongoing efforts to enhance its capacity in combating financial crime.
