New Electric Shuttle To Serve Upper Rock Nature Reserve
13 April 2026

The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Tourism have announced a new Nature Reserve Tourist shuttle bus service, commencing in the coming weeks, providing accessible electric transport in response to the cable car closure.
A statement from the Government follows below:
Two electric buses will provide the shuttle service and will be run as a partnership between the Gibraltar Bus Company and the Gibraltar Taxi Association. Both buses have a wheelchair ramp and can carry between 15 and 20 passengers.
The shuttle will run from Market Place to Queens Balcony, with all users purchasing a Nature Reserve ticket to walk and explore the Upper Rock and its sites.
